Title: Broken Washing Machine Shutoff Valves - Deermeade Drive Florence Kentucky
Post by: DUNBAR PLUMBING on June 09, 2010, 12:16:55 AM
Dunbar Plumbing was called out on emergency to repair a defective washing machine water supply. The customer had a situation where the washing machine hoses were damaged by high water pressure and when they went to replace the washing machine hoses, the shutoffs broke in the process.

Here are some pictures of the situation and how Dunbar Plumbing installed a single throw washing machine water shutoff valve.

Worth noting,

This area in Florence Kentucky (Deermeade Drive) is notorious for high water pressure. If it is not addressed, situations like above can become problematic and cause property damage as a result.

The single throw washing machine water shutoff works well as it is a ball valve assembly connected together to turn the water supply off to both the hot and cold to the washing machine efficiently and safely.

Access to the underside of the washer box is necessary to disconnect and reconnect the water lines to the new valves. We try to make that one cut square into the wall which makes the repair to the drywall rather simplistic.
