Title: Shallow Well Jet Pump Replacement - Moffett Road Morning View Kentucky
Post by: DUNBAR PLUMBING on April 14, 2010, 12:50:25 AM
Dunbar Plumbing was called out to replace a water pump that was working incorrectly. The shallow well Jet Pump was making an extremely loud whining noise that was indicating something was wrong.

The customer made the decision to replace instead of repair which in our opinion is a good idea.

Here is some pictures of the job in question:

After we installed the new pump, the customer was very pleased with how quiet the new water pump was.

The new pump was 3/4 horsepower which was a larger pump motor than before.

We asked the customer to make sure that the cistern was clean and had the proper level of water in the system before replacing the water pump. Very critical considerations as too often a dirty cistern or lack of water can cause failure of a water pump.
