Here's a short video of a water heater we replaced for a customer on 1-16-10. Customer thought that possibly there was a water line connection into the top of the water heater to blame for the leaking. Turned out that the water heater is defective and could not be repaired.

Back in 2007 the thermal expansion tank was installed on this water heater along with a pressure reducing valve in order to correct a high water pressure issue. This customer had us install this protection at two homes, one at this residence on Burgess lane and the other off Madonna drive in Edgewood Kentucky.

Money well spent for the property owner and actually prevented the water heater shown above from failing at a sooner date. The water heater cost the customer around $635.00 out the door, a pretty decent price.
