Title: Continuing Education as a Plumber
Post by: DUNBAR PLUMBING on February 10, 2010, 12:32:01 AM
Tomorrow we get to spend 8 hours getting our required CEU's for our Master Plumber's License. This is a yearly requirement that is needed to maintain our licensure in the state of Kentucky.

Just a few short years ago, we didn't even have this requirement. It is good that we have it as it helps with the latest advances in business, management, codes and considerations.

We might snap some pictures, a few videos.

Well we got our 8 hours of continuing education this week, along with 3 hours for another license in the state of Kentucky.

It feels good to get back on top in just the past couple weeks. One step in front of the other.

The backflow meeting had a good speaker about cross connections and lawsuits.

The continuing education class about construction management was informative as well. << Not my first choice of learning, but nonetheless the woman

who gave us 8 hours of her time did a good job keeping us interested. She gets an A+ for public relations.

March 6 2010 is another night for continuing education classes for the Northern Kentucky Cross Connection Backflow Association down in Wilder Kentucky.

I believe the course is another 3 credit hours for continuing education.

My day isn't over yet; have to go out and take care of a clogged kitchen sink after the meeting.  :wtf:

On April 5th 2011 the second meeting for the Northern Kentucky Cross Connection Prevention Association will be held at the Marquise in Wilder Kentucky, 1016 Towne Drive in Wilder Kentucky. The doors open at 6:00pm but the meeting starts at 6:30pm and the guest speaker for this meeting will be Joel Berkley, Director of Education and Marketing for the KAPHCC.

The KAPHCC or Kentucky Association of Plumbing Heating and Cooling Contractors. This association provides information and membership to contractors in the profession that offers many benefits in the association.

Last month's speaker was a motivational speaker, putting emphasis on how we as workers, employees or business owners should stop and smell the roses from time to time, slow down the stress levels and realize how fast life goes by when we are so involved in our work life.

Family values as well, not to bring the stresses to work, or bring the stresses of work to the home. It was one of the best meetings that Dunbar Plumbing has attended.
