Here's a broken delta tub/shower faucet that was broken off by the customer attempting to replace the leaking cartridge inside of the valve body.
Dunbar Plumbing on average replaces around 24 of these faucets a year due to circumstances where the 3 copper tubes that hold the valve body to the rest of the assembly get torn and leak, causing the failure of the valve which must be replaced at that point.
