Body Tan Plus, located on Taylor Mill Road in Independence Kentucky contacted us last week in regards to a body spray tan booth that has been malfunctioning lately. The problem is "no definitive pressure from the spray nozzles inside the booth."
I took pictures/video of this unit and we're going to attempt to repair this unit with absolutely no background on this product, other than it's not working. The system cost about $30,000.00 in 2006 and the property owner stated that it has not paid itself off yet. At $30 per use, that is a steep price for someone to pay and use on a regular basis.
We think that inline check valves are to blame for the device not working properly but we cannot confirm. There is a myriad of fittings/regulators/devices in this system and hundreds of feet of vinyl tubing. It was revealed that this system has not been maintained since the day it was put into operation, so that is why our first thinking is believing those inline check valves are malfunctioning or gummed up.
We explained to the customer that there are no promises with the effort we are making, other than trying to resolve the issue as cheaply as possible.
The alternative to this?
Fly an authorized repair tech from texas, with repair parts...and I would venture to say that the cost starts at $1500.00 and only goes up. :(
