Ever worked for other Plumbers?
« on: January 02, 2010, 12:04:26 AM »

I have, and remember the times over the course of years, vividly.

The times that I did work for them, it was mainly because of their heart condition or damage to their hands, shoulders,
body from years of work.

I only charged for materials, not labor, hoping that someday I'll be gifted back in that manner...but I won't hold my
breath to that statement.

Tell us if you have done this before, and the reasons for doing so.

I have worked at an 80 something year old retired plumbers house. No Charge. I drank beer while he used my torch and tools to change his W.H.

He damn neart cried when he was soldering. He LOVES the trade to this day. He still did good work. He bitched about the H2O flux :PDT_Armataz_01_37:

Are you required by code to use H20 flux? I would be buying a case of tinning flux before I would chance using that stuff. Hard to get used to...got to solder

at the 'right' time.
