Ridgid Model 2006 Faucet and Sink Installer
« on: January 27, 2010, 10:28:48 PM »

This product, the Ridgid Model 2006 Faucet and Sink installer is one of the most inventive tools I've ever used and and the design is fantastic. It is a very multi-functional tool that allows you to use the device in numerous way and tackles some of the toughest jobs.

Faucets for the most part are as difficult as the removal of the existing faucet. Once the "old" faucet is removed, the installation of the new faucet is relatively easy. With that in mind, most faucets are designed to have plastic hold down nuts that anchor the faucet to the deck of the sink.

Dunbar Plumbing has been using this tool for kitchen sink faucet replacements, lavatory sink faucet replacements, laundry tub faucet replacements, ballcock hold down nuts and numerous other applications. This multipurpose undersink plumbing tool is almost 11" long and allows for easy use to remove or replace plastic basin nuts, install or remove faucet supply nuts, the ability to turn the handles off and on for angle stops, and a strainer basket attachment that allows the ability to hold the basket strainer in place while tightening down the basket strainer nut.

The notches on this tool allows for removal/installation of the two, three, four and six tab basin nuts. 7/8" and 1" hex nuts are also able to be tightened and removed with the aluminum inserts used inside this tool.

What we like so much about this tool is the webbed design that allows us to grip the tool and twist, which flexes and bends slightly as well distributing the torque with some of the strain being relieved in the the hands while peforming the task.
